Selinunte. Sicily. Italy. View of the Greek Doric Temple E, which dates from 460 to 450 BC and is dedicated to Greek Goddess Hera, wife of Zeus. I partially restored the Peripteral hexastyle Temple in the 1950s and contains fragments of the original white finish which would have made it glow and visible from far off in ancient times.
